PyCon Namibia began in 2015 with a clear purpose: to bring Namibia's technology community together around Python, and to build stronger connections between technology, industry and the global community.
About PyCon Namibia
Since 2015, PyCon Namibia has grown into an established part of Namibia's technology landscape.
Each year it brings together software developers, technology professionals, companies, entrepreneurs, researchers, academics, innovators and industry leaders to exchange ideas, share knowledge, discover new technologies and build meaningful connections.
Python is at the heart of the conference, but the conversation goes far beyond the language. It extends into software engineering, data, artificial intelligence, automation, research, open source, digital infrastructure, and the technologies shaping the future of business and society.
A decade of growing Namibia's technology ecosystem
Over the years, the Python and wider technology community in Namibia has grown significantly.
More developers now work with Python across software development, data analysis, automation, research, artificial intelligence and other technical fields. Many of the people behind this growth have passed through the PyCon Namibia community: attending the conference, sharing knowledge, building professional connections and developing their careers in Namibia's technology industry.
