Why Python?
The language of choice for professional teams across Namibia and the world.
Python powers the systems that run modern industry. Banks use it for risk modelling and fraud detection. Telecoms use it for network automation and data pipelines. Healthcare organisations use it for patient analytics. Mining and logistics companies use it to optimise operations. It is the language behind Django, FastAPI, TensorFlow, pandas, and hundreds of other tools that professional teams rely on every day.
In Namibia, companies across sectors are building with Python. From fintech startups to established enterprises, development teams are using it to ship products, automate workflows, and make better decisions with data. Many of them send their engineers to PyCon Namibia, and a number of them sponsor the event.
PyCon Namibia brings together the professionals, teams, and organisations doing that work. It is a space for senior engineers and junior developers alike to learn from each other, hear from international practitioners, and stay current with how the Python ecosystem is evolving.
