An evening set aside for our speakers
The Speakers' Dinner brings our speakers together outside the conference programme: a chance to slow down, share a meal, meet fellow speakers, exchange stories and build connections in a more relaxed setting.
The dinner is complimentary for all PyCon Namibia speakers. It is separate from the meals provided during the main conference, and is organised specifically as a social occasion for the people contributing to the programme.
A different kind of conference experience
An evening of good food, good conversation and the company of fellow speakers, away from the programme.
The location is intentionally not fixed in advance. Each year the venue is chosen during conference week, taking speakers' preferences into account. Depending on the year, it may be in Windhoek or at a destination outside the city, so each dinner can be somewhere new.
Food and Namibian flavour
A proper dinner, with a variety of food and options for different dietary needs. The exact menu depends on the venue chosen for the year.
Dietary options include
- Vegetarian
- Vegan
- Gluten-free
A taste of Namibia
Depending on the venue and menu, speakers may also get to experience some of Namibia's own food traditions, including kapana and braai.
A thank-you to our speakers
The Speakers' Dinner is one of the ways PyCon Namibia thanks the people who give their time, knowledge, experience and ideas to the conference.
Whether you are joining us from another part of Namibia or travelling from another country, we want you to meet the people behind the programme, make new connections and enjoy an evening together.
Details about the venue, date, menu and arrangements are shared with selected speakers during conference week.
Come for the talks. Stay for the community.
The sessions may bring us together, but the conversations around them are often what make a conference memorable. The Speakers' Dinner is one of those moments.
