Visa information
Travellers coming to PyCon Namibia 2027 may need a visa. Check the requirements for your passport early, and ask us for a support letter if you need one.
Visa support letter
Once you have a ticket you are registered as an attendee and can request an invitation letter. Please request it at least one week before you submit your visa application.
Support letters are issued to confirmed attendees. Please request yours at least one week before you submit your visa application, and make sure every detail matches your passport.
Before you travel
- FlightsDirect flights from Frankfurt, Johannesburg and major African hubs arrive at Hosea Kutako International Airport.
- Airport transferThe airport is about 45 minutes from the city. Taxis and shuttle services are available.
- HealthTap water is safe. Check with your doctor about recommended vaccinations such as hepatitis A, tetanus and typhoid.
- CurrencyThe Namibian dollar (NAD) is pegged 1:1 to the South African rand, which is also accepted. ATMs are widely available.
